The Peets

What can be said about the Peets? Hailing from Guelph, Ontario, Canada they have been trotting the globe for many a year but their hearts have belonged to Africa since 2000 when they traveled for a year to Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Peets

Konnie Peet:

Executive Director of the Guelph Community Health Centre by day and Founder of the “Ithembelethu Home Based Care Project” for most of rest of her time. She puts in countless hours fund raising, awareness raising, and working with the local directors of the Home Based Care projects in South Africa. But that is not all! She also serves on the board of one of our partner organizations CRWRF and provides project assessment and reports for areas in Mali, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa. You can contact Konnie via e-mail at: cpeet@sentex.net

Neil Peet:

Neil is Konnie’s son and general technology handyman (as well as cook!). He works in Toronto as a strategy consultant focussed on the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility and growing inclusive markets. He is also owner of the private consulting company RPM Solutions. In South Africa he started a computer training facility, has taught grade 7 and 8 English, Math, Technology and Art, as well as traveling to South America to learn enough Spanish to attempt to teach English at various orphanages. In an attempt to promote entrepreneurship he often brings laptop computers (along with training manuals and instruction) to provide youth with new opportunities.
